Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to figure it out alone. I'm Shawn Tabor, a Licensed Therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and trauma so they can move forward with clarity and a sense of self. My approach is rooted in person-centered care, meaning I meet you exactly where you are. Whether you're looking to set clear goals and track your progress, or simply need a safe space to explore what you're feeling, I adapt to what works best for you. I draw on evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide care that is both meaningful and effective. My path to this work isn't just academic. Before becoming a therapist, I served in the military and worked as a firefighter, experiences that gave me a deep understanding of stress, resilience, and what it means to show up for others in their hardest moments. That perspective shapes how I sit with every client who walks through my door. I welcome and support people from all walks of life. Wherever you are in your journey, my goal is simple — to provide a space where you feel heard, respected, and stronger for having done the work.
